A WELCOME FROM THE FOUNDERS

Hi. Welcome to Music Intel, and to Artist Lab.

We built Artist Lab because we are artists ourselves. We release as Crimson Medici, and our daily routine used to be the same as yours: Spotify for Artists, then YouTube Studio, then Meta, then Google, round and round. Tedious, annoying and mostly unhelpful. I could always find the latest number for a video, or see how a track was doing on Spotify. What I could never answer was the question that actually matters: what does any of it MEAN?

I just wished something would connect the musical dots and show me the bigger picture.

So we built it.

Our first version connected all of that, and more. As independent artists we were hunting other answers too: how were people finding us on Google? Had anyone written about us - a feature, a review, a news story? Who was visiting our website? Artist Lab put those in the picture as well.

But we were still posting to social media by hand.

The new Artist Lab finally connects two things that have never connected before: your music data and your social campaigns. We call it CampaignManager, because its full name, the Artist Social Media Campaign Manager, is not something you can say out loud when you are deep in the mix on final-v22-FINAL-final.mix.

Ever wished your social posts were driven by your actual catalogue? Yeah, so did we. CampaignManager writes posts from your real releases - your tracks, artwork, release dates and goals - and publishes them straight to Instagram and Facebook (TikTok soon). Then you come back to Artist Lab and watch what your streams, followers and playlists did next, in the same view. Post, then see what moved. Hurrah.

Thanks for looking at Artist Lab. It is the tool we always wanted beside our own releases. Now it is beside yours.

Cheers,

Nick & Wendy
