Accessibility statement.
Music Intel is committed to making this site usable to as wide an audience as possible. We now target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This statement distinguishes our last formal review from later site changes and explains how to report a barrier.
Scope.
This statement applies to https://musicintel.co.uk and the associated marketing surfaces (/industry/*, /musician, and the legal pages). It does not cover the customer dashboard at app.musicata.io, which has its own accessibility scope and conformance status.
Conformance.
The marketing site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA. A representative build was formally reviewed on 27 April 2026 against WCAG 2.1 AA and the 11 issues found in that review were addressed. Material changes released after that review, including the August Industry redesign, have received targeted keyboard, responsive and reduced-motion checks but have not yet had a complete independent conformance audit.
The reviewed patterns included:
- 1.1.1 Non-text content - representative informative images and decorative treatments
- 1.3.1 Info and relationships - semantic landmarks and heading structure
- 1.4.3 Contrast - representative body, navigation and control states
- 2.4.1 Bypass blocks - skip-to-main-content link present
- 2.4.7 Focus visible - explicit focus-visible ring (coral, 2px)
- 3.1.1 Language of page - lang="en" on all pages
- 4.1.2 Name, role, value - ARIA labels on icon-only controls; mega-menu aria-expanded toggles correctly
- 4.1.3 Status messages - contact-form result is announced via aria-live
Beyond AA.
The site honours prefers-reduced-motion for major animations and auto-rotating or scrolling content. We treat reduced motion as standard product hygiene.
The cookie consent dialog supports a keyboard focus trap, Escape-to-select Essential only, granular category choices, controls meeting the WCAG 2.2 target-size minimum, and no pre-selected non-essential categories.
Known limitations.
We track open issues honestly:
- The customer dashboard at app.musicata.io is outside this statement and does not yet have a published conformance report.
- The embedded Spreadshop storefront is supplied by a third party. Music Intel does not control all of its markup or checkout flow; a direct-shop link remains available if the embed is difficult to use.
- The August marketing-site changes have not yet received a complete independent WCAG 2.2 audit.
- Print stylesheet is not yet provided; printed pages render with full screen styling.
Testing approach.
The 2026-04-27 audit combined manual review (semantic HTML, heading order, ARIA, focus order, keyboard navigation, colour contrast measurement) and rendered-HTML inspection across 11 representative pages.
We do not yet run automated accessibility checks in CI. Lighthouse + axe-core integration is on the 2026 roadmap.
Reviews are planned at least every six months and after major releases. This statement will be updated when the next full review is complete.
Reporting an issue.
If you cannot use part of this site because of an accessibility barrier, write to legal@musicintel.co.uk with the URL, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology in use (if any). We aim to acknowledge within two business days and triage within ten.
If we cannot fix the issue, we will explain why and offer an alternative way to access the information or service in question.
Enforcement.
If you are dissatisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) (equalityadvisoryservice.com), which advises on the Equality Act 2010.
